England legend Paul Gascoigne has described Chelsea star Cole Palmer as an exceptional player after being impressed by his recent performances.
Softfootball understands that Palmer’s remarkable rise at Chelsea has earned widespread praise from some of England’s biggest football icons, with Gascoigne highlighting the youngster’s desire to keep improving.
Speaking in an interview with Football365, Gascoigne admitted he had not fully appreciated just how talented Palmer was until watching his recent displays.

“Yeah. God, I didn’t realize how good he was! It’s only the last couple of games I’ve watched him on Match of the Day, he’s been unbelievable.
“He’s hungry, he scored four [against Brighton], he wants to do well and he’s with a good team, he’s sharp.”
Palmer has established himself as one of Chelsea’s standout performers since arriving from Manchester City.
The England international enjoyed a sensational debut Premier League campaign at Stamford Bridge, scoring 22 goals and providing 11 assists in 33 league appearances for the Blues last season.
