Chelsea goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen is on the verge of completing a move to RC Strasbourg, with an agreement between the parties now close to being finalised. The deal is in its final stages, with only a few details left to resolve before the transfer is officially completed.
Softfootball reported that discussions are currently focused on salary conditions, while Jorgensen has already left Chelsea’s pre-season camp in anticipation of completing the move.
The transfer comes after the Danish shot-stopper had previously considered leaving the club in January in search of more regular first-team football, and Strasbourg now appear set to offer him that opportunity.
Chelsea are expected to sanction the move once the remaining contractual details are settled, allowing Jorgensen to begin a new chapter in Ligue 1. The switch is also in line with the close relationship between Chelsea and Strasbourg, both of whom fall under the BlueCo ownership structure.
Jorgensen joined Chelsea with high expectations but has found opportunities limited due to competition for the number one spot.
