BREAKING: Fede Valverde suffered a traumatic brain injury and will MISS El Clásico.

“The tests carried out today on our player Fede Valverde by the Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with a traumatic brain injury”.

“Valverde is at home in good condition and will need to rest for 10 to 14 days, as per medical protocols for this diagnosis”, Real Madrid confirm.

The incident has shocked the squad, with the club’s medical team carrying out immediate tests after the training ground clash. The results confirmed the injury and forced the midfielder out of one of the biggest matches of the season.

This latest setback adds to Real Madrid’s growing injury problems. Reports have also suggested that Ferland Mendy could be out for up to a year after further examinations showed his tendon injury is more serious than first expected. These injuries are leaving the coaching staff short of important players during a crucial stage of the campaign.

There was at least some positive news for the club regarding Éder Militão. The Brazilian defender has successfully undergone surgery for his hamstring injury and is now targeting a return in September. His recovery could provide a big boost to the defense next season.

For now, the main concern at the Bernabéu is keeping the squad focused despite the growing problems both on and off the pitch. Softfootball understands that once Valverde completes his mandatory recovery period, the club could introduce stricter measures to prevent similar incidents from happening again inside the dressing room.
