Edo Queens defender Miracle Usani has earned a place in the 2024 CAF Women’s Champions League Best XI, following a standout run of performances throughout the tournament in Morocco.

Softfootball gathered that the selection panel, which is made up of the CAF Technical Study Group including analysts, coaches and technical advisors, singled out Usani’s consistency at left-back across all five of Edo Queens’ matches in the competition.

Moses Aduku’s side ultimately finished fourth overall, losing 4 – 3 on penalties to debutants FC Masar of Egypt in the third place playoff.

Despite the disappointing finish, Miracle Usani’s individual performances stood out enough to earn recognition alongside players from champions TP Mazembe of DR Congo and runners-up AS FAR of Morocco.

Four players from FC Masar and four from TP Mazembe also made the Best XI selection, alongside two representatives from AS FAR, reflecting a squad drawn largely from the tournament’s top three finishers.
