CAF Increases Prize Money for 2026 WAFCON

CAF have announced they have increased the prize money for the 2026 WAFCON. Softfootball understands the total prize pool has risen by 67%, increasing from $3.475 million to $5.8 million.

The champions of the tournament will now receive $2 million, representing a 100% increase from the previous edition. The runners‑up will earn $750,000, while the third‑placed team will take home $550,000. CAF has also increased the participation fund, with each of the 16 participating nations guaranteed $150,000, up from $125,000.
