Borussia Dortmund returned to winning ways in emphatic fashion with a dominant 4-0 victory over SC Freiburg, effectively deciding the match inside the opening 30 minutes, Softfootball reports.

Under Niko Kovač, Dortmund stormed into an early lead when Maximilian Beier capitalised on a long ball from Ramy Bensebaini to finish calmly past Noah Atubolu, who was making his 100th appearance for Freiburg.

The hosts doubled their advantage soon after, as Julian Brandt delivered a precise cross for Serhou Guirassy to head home. Dortmund’s relentless pressure produced a third just past the half-hour mark, with Julian Ryerson providing his ninth assist of the season for Bensebaini to score.

Freiburg briefly thought they had a response through Lukas Kübler, but his header from Vincenzo Grifo’s free-kick was ruled out for offside after VAR review.

Because Wiktor is not watching the match

Borussia Dortmund are leading the race to sign highly rated 15-year-old defender Liam Claude Kanté from NK Lokomotiva Zagreb, The move would align with Dortmund’s long-term strategy of investing in elite young talent, coming shortly after Nico Schlotterbeck committed his future to the club until 2031.
