Barcelona sporting director Deco has admitted the Catalan giants cannot completely rule out a future reunion with Brazilian superstar Neymar.
The 32-year-old is expected to become a free agent after his spell with Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal, fuelling speculation over a possible return to Camp Nou.
Softfootball gathered that although financial restrictions previously made such a move impossible, Barcelona are unwilling to completely dismiss the prospect should conditions become favourable.
Speaking to TNT Sports, Deco acknowledged Neymar’s exceptional quality and described him as a player capable of strengthening any team in world football.

He explained that the club’s financial situation prevented serious discussions before Neymar moved to Saudi Arabia, particularly due to Financial Fair Play regulations.
Despite that, Deco maintained that players of Neymar’s calibre should never be completely ruled out, praising the Brazilian’s enduring talent and global appeal.
However, he also suggested that Neymar’s immediate future could lie elsewhere, with a return to Brazilian football appearing the most likely destination before any potential move back to Europe.
