Valencia head coach Carlos Corberán has praised Umar Sadiq after the Nigerian striker inspired his side to a dramatic 3-3 draw against Osasuna with a superb late equaliser.
Sadiq continued his impressive start to life at Mestalla by scoring twice, including a brilliant finish in the 87th minute to earn Los Che a valuable point.
The Super Eagles forward has now scored three goals in six La Liga appearances since joining Valencia, strengthening his case as one of the club’s key attacking options.
Speaking after the match, Corberán applauded Sadiq’s commitment while admitting his team must improve defensively. The Valencia boss said:
Scoring three goals is positive, but conceding three is not.
To win matches, we have to defend much better.
