Chelsea Chase One-on-One Specialist as Man United and Man City Move in Busy Transfer Window

3 Min Read

The transfer market continues to heat up for Europe’s biggest clubs, with Chelsea, Manchester City, Bayern Munich, Juventus, and Manchester United all making significant moves this week.

Information gathered by Softfootball, indicates Chelsea have set their sights on Jamie Gittens, a dynamic one-on-one specialist known for his speed, direct running, and elite ball-striking ability.

The winger’s intelligence in the final third and ability to arrive in dangerous positions inside the box have caught Chelsea’s attention, especially as the club looks for profiles different from players like Noni Madueke, who tends to stay too wide and struggles to score consistently.

In Germany, Alphonso Davies is close to finalising a new long-term deal with Bayern Munich that will keep him at the club until 2029.

Real Madrid whose manager, Carlo Ancelotti would be leaving for brazil at the end of the season had been hoping to secure him on a free transfer next year, but Bayern appear to have successfully convinced the Canadian star to commit his future in Munich — a major setback for Madrid’s transfer plans.

Manchester City have officially announced the signing of talented youngster Abdukodir Khusanov. The highly rated prospect will immediately join first-team training, and the club is optimistic he could make his debut soon. As usual, the club’s recruitment team believes he has the technical level required to thrive under Pep Guardiola.

At Manchester United, Antony — the £100 million signing who has struggled to impress — has been sent on loan to Real Betis. The move contains no buy option, and United who recently lost 3:1 to brighton will continue to cover part of his salary until he returns in June.

With squad changes underway, United are now exploring options at left wing-back and have added Patrick Doku to their shortlist.

Doku is described as a powerful ball-carrier with pace, strength, intelligent timing of runs, and strong attacking instincts inside the box which could help solve the structural flaws which have been observed from United’s recent poor results.

His style contrasts sharply with United’s current wing-back options and aligns more closely with profiles seen at clubs like Bayer Leverkusen, where wing-backs play an integral attacking role. His club reportedly values him at €40 million.

Meanwhile, Moise Kean has been spotted training with Juventus ahead of his move becoming official this week, confirming that the deal is in its final stages.

With multiple major transfers in motion, the upcoming days promise even more movement as clubs aim to finalise squads before the next phase of the season.
