Carlo Ancelotti has signed a new long-term deal with the Brazil national football team to lead them in the next two World Cups, which is until 2030.

Softfootball gathered this information from internal sources. This extension is shocking as Ancelotti’s team has not yet been tested, with the 2026 FIFA World Cup yet to commence.

He had also been under heavy pressure to add Neymar Jr. into the 2026 World Cup squad after Neymar’s name was missing in the first list.

In the Brazil 51 men preliminary squad presented by Ancelotti, Neymar’s name returned to the team, while former Chelsea star Thiago Silva was also present on the list.

This has sparked rumours that Ancelotti wants the two experienced players to be part of the team to help bring leadership to the Brazil squad.
