Arsenal have suffered another major injury setback after striker Kai Havertz reportedly picked up a hamstring problem during the club’s training camp in Dubai.
The Germany international is understood to have suffered the injury during a training session earlier this week, with sources indicating that the issue is hamstring-related.
However, the exact nature and severity of the injury have yet to be confirmed, with Arsenal expected to provide further information after the player undergoes the necessary medical assessments.
Any significant hamstring problem could see Havertz spend time on the sidelines, providing another headache for manager Mikel Arteta at a crucial stage of the season.
The Japan international has played just six minutes of football this season, appearing as a late substitute in Arsenal’s Carabao Cup victory over Southampton in October.

Tomiyasu had previously spent around three months recovering from a knee injury that forced him to miss the beginning of the campaign. However, he suffered another setback after his brief appearance and has not featured since.
The 26-year-old previously underwent knee surgery in 2023, which kept him sidelined for around three months. Another procedure would represent a further setback for a player whose time at Arsenal has been heavily affected by injuries.
Arteta had offered a positive update on Tomiyasu last month, revealing that the defender had started doing some work on the pitch. Arteta said:
Tomi has done some stuff on the pitch, but now because it’s been a long-term injury, we need to see how quickly he can progress and how he reacts.
However, the latest concerns over a possible operation have raised fresh doubts about when Tomiyasu will be able to return to full fitness.
