Manchester United winger Antony is reportedly close to completing a loan move to Spanish side Real Betis during the January transfer window.
The Brazilian has struggled to meet expectations since joining United from Ajax in a big-money transfer and could now leave Old Trafford temporarily in search of regular playing time.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano revealed that negotiations between the two clubs are progressing, with the proposed deal expected to run until the end of the season. Via his official X handle, he shared:
Real Betis are closing in on Antony’s deal with Man United.

The agreement currently does not include an option to buy, while Manchester United are also expected to cover part of the player’s salary.
According to Softfootball, Antony has made it clear that he is open to joining Betis as United continue to explore options for players who have struggled to establish themselves under the club’s recent managers.
The winger has scored just 12 goals and provided five assists in 95 appearances for United since arriving from Ajax.
A move to Spain could give Antony an opportunity to revive his career and regain confidence through regular football.
