The result comes after Anthony Gordon Hails Trent Alexander-Arnold After Brilliant Assist, with Gordon benefiting from excellent service as England continued to find ways through the opposition defence.
Gordon’s consistency in front of goal has been particularly notable at international level. Rather than simply relying on his pace to stretch defences, the forward has shown greater composure in the final third and a growing ability to make decisive contributions.
His goal today also means he has maintained a remarkable record of scoring in every Nations League game he has played this campaign. That consistency will be encouraging for England as they continue their Nations League campaign.
With eight goal contributions already registered for club and country, Gordon is establishing himself as one of England’s most productive attacking players this season. His latest display will further strengthen his claim for a regular role in the national team as competition for attacking places continues.
Gordon will now look to carry the momentum back to club football, with his confidence clearly growing after another productive international appearance.
