Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has expressed his satisfaction following his team’s 2-0 Europa League victory over FCSB on Thursday.

According to Softfootball, goals from Diogo Dalot and Kobbie Mainoo after the break helped United secure a comfortable win and finish the league phase in third place.

Amorim was particularly pleased with the control his team showed throughout the encounter, praising the players for their dominance and ability to maintain possession.

I think we controlled the game very well. We had more possession, so we had more time to think and to connect the plays

the Portuguese manager said.

The United boss also singled out Mainoo for praise after the midfielder scored and provided an assist in an impressive performance.

Kobbie played very well in that position, with more freedom and not so much responsibility running back all the time

Amorim added.

He also praised the team’s defensive display after recording another clean sheet but admitted that United need to become more clinical in front of goal, as he said:

The lads did a good job – another clean sheet. We created chances, but we have to score more goals.
