Amad Diallo produced a stunning late performance as Manchester United came from behind to defeat Southampton 3-1 in Thursday’s Premier League clash. The Ivorian winger scored all three goals in the final stages of the match to rescue United from what looked like another disappointing league result.

Southampton took the lead shortly before halftime when Manuel Ugarte turned the ball into his own net. Softfootball reports that the Saints looked set to secure a memorable victory at Old Trafford before Diallo dramatically changed the outcome.

Diallo equalised in the 82nd minute before firing United ahead eight minutes later. He then completed his hat-trick in the fourth minute of stoppage time, becoming only the third player in Premier League history to score three goals in the final 10 minutes of a match, after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Wayne Rooney.

The victory ended United’s poor run in the league and moved them up to 12th position with 26 points. Southampton, meanwhile, remain at the bottom of the table with only six points.
