Inter Miami defender Jordi Alba has revealed he has no regrets about ending his long association with Barcelona, insisting leaving the Catalan club was the right decision despite having time left on his contract.
The former Barcelona captain admitted staying at Camp Nou would have been the easier option, but he ultimately chose to leave after struggling for regular playing time during his final season.
Softfootball reports that Alba remains satisfied with his decision, describing it as the best move for both himself and Barcelona while expressing happiness with the new chapter of his career in Major League Soccer.

Alba explained that although he always tried to support his teammates and maintain a positive attitude, spending long periods on the bench convinced him it was time to seek a fresh challenge.
The experienced left-back said he never wanted to become a distraction within the squad and believed his departure also benefited Barcelona as they looked to reshape the team.
His move to Inter Miami reunited him with former Barcelona teammates Lionel Messi, Sergio Busquets and Luis Suárez, helping strengthen the MLS club’s growing ambitions.
