Al Ahli Saudi FC finished their Saudi Pro League campaign on a high with an emphatic 4–1 away victory over Al Khaleej FC, as Matheus Gonçalves delivered a standout performance, Softfootball reports.
Although Al-Ahli narrowly missed out on the league title, the result capped one of the club’s strongest domestic seasons in recent history. The victory marked their 11th away win of the 2025/26 campaign, equalling the club’s best-ever road record in a single Saudi Pro League season.

Al-Ahli also continued their remarkable dominance over Al-Khaleej, extending their unbeaten run in the fixture to 12 league matches with eight wins and four draws. The club has now scored in every Saudi Pro League meeting against Al-Khaleej, underlining a long-standing attacking consistency in the matchup.
The visitors controlled the game statistically as well, producing an expected goals tally of 2.05 from 13 shots, including seven on target, while Al-Khaleej managed an xG of just 0.84 from nine attempts.
Fans flooded social media after the final whistle, praising the team’s attacking football and celebrating a season that, despite missing out on the title, showcased major progress and consistency.

Praise be to God, it was an excellent season despite the refereeing injustice against Al-Ahli. But. We were compensated with the Super Cup. And the Elite Cup. And we look forward to what is even better. Thanks as vast as the sky. To the administration. And the coach. And all the players. And we must not forget. yf3599220845 says Al Ahli let Tony down
But Al-Ahli’s players let down Tony as usual in the last match, and I wonder who benefited—God is sufficient for me, and He is the best Disposer of affairs. It’s the duty of everyone to pass to Tony, so what’s the point if so-and-so and such-and-such score? The duty is for them to rally together and say Tony has to score a super hat-trick. They let him down and let us down, and this only happens in Al-Ahli club—this thing is extremely important, for its sake they fought history.
The four-goal display also pushed Al-Ahli’s total league goals for the season to 71, setting a new club record and surpassing the previous mark of 69 achieved during the 2024/25 campaign.
