AIK Confirm Zadok Abu Yohanna Will Miss Unity Cup as Club Prioritises His Recovery

Swedish side AIK Football have officially confirmed that highly‑rated Nigerian winger Zadok Abu Yohanna will not be available for the Super Eagles at the upcoming Unity Cup in London.

Softfootball gathered, the club revealed that the 19‑year‑old is still in the final stages of his rehabilitation, and after careful evaluation, they decided it was not in his best interest to travel for international duty.

AIK emphasised that Yohanna remains a key figure in their squad, noting that sporting considerations also influenced the decision. With the winger nearing full fitness, the club is keen to manage his return responsibly to avoid any setbacks.

Despite the disappointment, AIK expressed pride in Yohanna’s invitation to the Nigerian national team. They added that they are confident he will soon represent the Super Eagles, describing the call‑up as a sign of his growing reputation.
