Herish Sadi, the scout who discovered Zadok Yohanna in Nigeria, has spoken about the moment he first watched the winger and realised he had to act fast. Speaking to the media, Sadi explained that he saw Yohanna playing both as a number 10 and on the wing, and immediately sensed the level of competition around him.

He said there were multiple scouts monitoring the player, which pushed him to accelerate AIK’s move.
This was his statement:
I was really impressed watching him play as a number 10 and on the wing. There were a lot of scouts there, and we had to move fast. I called AIK’s CEO and said: ‘How would a hundred million Krona (€10 million) feel? You need to close this deal right away.
If he doesn’t turn out well, fire me. Fire me without compensation.’ I negotiated with the president and managers there. I actually finalized the deal that same evening, and he officially became an AIK player.

Yohanna was scouted from Nigeria in 2025, and now, in 2026, he has signed for Brighton & Hove Albion, completing one of the most impressive rapid‑rise stories in European football. Softfootball can confirm that Brighton have invested £21.5 million in the talented Nigerian winger.
