Alphonso Davies’ luck with injuries just won’t give him a break. The Bayern Munich left-back is set for another anxious wait after picking up a fresh knock during Saturday’s Bundesliga clash with Eintracht Frankfurt on February 21, 2026.
The 25 year old was forced off in the 50th minute after clutching his left ankle, with Hiroki Ito coming on in his place while Bayern were cruising 2–0 up.
The moment instantly raised concern around the Allianz Arena, especially given Davies’ recent return from a long spell on the sidelines. Fabrizio Romano confirmed via their official x handle that Bayern’s medical team will now run further tests to determine how serious the injury is.

This setback comes just months after Davies completed a long and demanding recovery from a devastating ACL and MCL injury suffered on international duty with Canada in March 2025. After 262 days out, he finally made his comeback in December, returning to action in the Champions League against Sporting Lisbon.
Since then, Vincent Kompany has carefully managed his minutes, easing him back into the starting XI across domestic and European competitions.
Despite the stop-start nature of his season, Davies has still shown flashes of his explosive best, offering pace, drive, and quality in possession whenever he’s been fit.
