Nottingham Forest via their official X handle have confirmed the dismissal of head coach Sean Dyche with immediate effect, Softfootball reports. The decision comes just 114 days after his appointment on October 21, 2025, marking another swift managerial change at the City Ground.
In their recent update, they stated that:
Nottingham Forest Football Club can confirm that Sean Dyche has been relieved of his duties as head coach. We would like to thank Sean and his staff for their efforts during their time at the Club and we wish them the best of luck for the future. We will be making no further comment at this time.

Dyche oversaw 17 Premier League matches during his brief tenure, recording six wins, three draws, and eight defeats. The run of results left Forest in 17th position, hovering just three points above the relegation zone. The club’s hierarchy reportedly acted after a disappointing spell that yielded only two points from three matches against fellow strugglers, despite significant investment in attacking reinforcements.
This marks the third managerial change of the season under owner Evangelos Marinakis, following the departures of Nuno Espírito Santo and Ange Postecoglou. Ironically, Dyche himself was appointed after Postecoglou lasted just eight games in charge, signing a contract until the summer of 2027.
Forest now face a challenging schedule, including Europa League commitments and league clashes against Liverpool and Manchester City, adding urgency to the search for stability.
Elsewhere, Manchester City kept pace with leaders Arsenal by securing a convincing 3–0 victory over Fulham, with goals from Nico O’Reilly, Antoine Semenyo, and Erling Haaland sealing the win.
