Nottingham Forest manager Nuno Espirito Santo says he remains confident that Ola Aina will extend his stay at the City Ground beyond this season, with talks over a new contract continuing to progress positively behind the scenes.
Aina’s current deal is set to expire next summer, and Softfootball understands that Forest are reportedly prepared to offer the Nigeria international a new four-year contract to keep him at the club long term.

Speaking ahead of Saturday’s Premier League clash with Ipswich Town, Santo addressed the ongoing negotiations:
I think things are going well. I am a coach, I give my opinion. We love what Ola is doing. We love him as a player and as a person, but other people in the club handle those discussions.
Aina joined Forest on a free transfer back in 2023 and signed a one-year contract extension earlier this summer, cementing his place as a key figure in Santo’s squad.
At 27, he remains a reliable presence at full-back and a player the club is clearly eager to build around going forward.
