The Portuguese defender described Fernandes as one of the most constant figures in his life, stressing the importance of trust and unity within a team. Dalot said:

I’ve been teammates with Bruno for seven years now. After my family, he’s the person I see the most in my life because we’re together every day, sometimes I even see him more than my wife. That’s the kind of relationship you have to build. I always say we go to war together.

Dalot’s comments underline the leadership role Fernandes plays within the United dressing room, as well as the strong core of Portuguese players who have become central to the club in recent years.

Softfootball understands that Dalot recently reached a significant personal milestone, making his 150th Premier League appearance for Manchester United last December. The achievement capped an impressive journey for the defender, who joined the club as a teenager in 2018 and has since grown into a dependable first-team regular.

Looking ahead, Dalot will also have his sights set on international success. He will be hoping to line up alongside Fernandes at the World Cup this summer, after both players played key roles in helping Portugal secure qualification. For Dalot, the prospect of representing his country on the biggest stage alongside a teammate he describes as a “brother-in-arms” would be another proud chapter in an already close footballing partnership.
