Inter Milan president Giuseppe Marotta has firmly dismissed reports linking Denzel Dumfries with a move away from the club, making it clear that the Dutch defender is not for sale despite growing transfer speculation.
Inter have been active in recent weeks both on and off the pitch, and Marotta has taken the opportunity to address several issues surrounding the club, including player futures and transfer approaches that he believes cross professional boundaries.

According to Fabrizio Romano via his official X handle, Marotta did not hide his frustration when asked about Liverpool’s reported interest in Dumfries. The Inter president said:
Liverpool keen on Dumfries? Some phone calls are to the limit of correctness, done even in a sudden way, which do nothing but destabilise.Absolutely no chance. Dumfries stays with us here at Inter.
The statement puts an emphatic end to rumours of a potential Premier League switch for the Netherlands international. Softfootball earlier reported that Dumfries was open to a move to the Premier League last summer, with interest from several English clubs, but Inter remained firm on keeping one of their key players.

Marotta also touched on the topic of Ivan Perišić during the same discussion, explaining why a reunion with the Croatian winger never materialised. The Inter president clarified that while there is mutual respect and fond memories from Perišić’s time at the club, financial conditions and squad planning meant a return was not feasible.
Inter remain focused on maintaining stability within the squad as they push forward this season, with Marotta’s comments underlining the club’s determination to resist external pressure and protect their core players.
