Real Sociedad has unveiled new signing Wesley after he passed his medical and joined on loan from Saudi Arabian side, Al Nassr with an obligation to buy, Softfootball understands.
The Brazilian winger will have the opportunity to play in the Copa del Rey quarter-final after Sociedad eliminated Osasuna through penalties round of 16. He is surrounded by fantastic talents at the club that would help his development also.
Real Sociedad made the announcement on their official X handle as they are delighted to have the Brazilian at their disposal. The statement read:
Real Sociedad and Al-Nassr have agreed to the loan of Wesley Gassova Ribeiro until the end of the 25-26 season. The Basque club also retains an option to buy the Brazilian player.
At the end of the loan deal if Real Sociedad are happy with the player, they will have to trigger his €12m buyout clause, After passing his medical held at Policlínica Gipuzkoa, before signing his contract at the Anoeta Stadium, excitedly said:
I will give my all to achieve the team’s objectives. I’ve come to contribute my skills on both wings and help the team in every way.
