Benfica have opened negotiations with Al Nassr over the signing of Colombian striker Jhon Durán, with discussions now underway between the two clubs.

Direct talks have also taken place with the player’s representatives as Benfica explore the conditions of a potential move for the 22-year-old forward.

Softfootball reported back in February 2026 that Durán joined Zenit St. Petersburg on loan from Al Nassr, adding another chapter to a career that has already taken him across multiple countries at a young age.

Now, Benfica are hoping to bring the Colombian to Portugal as they continue strengthening their attacking options ahead of the new season. While negotiations are still ongoing, the Portuguese giants have made Durán one of their priority targets and will continue discussions with Al Nassr in the coming days.

A move to Benfica would see Durán feature in a sixth different footballing nation, having previously played in the United States, England, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Russia.
