Manchester City have announced their starting lineup for the Manchester derby against Manchester United, sharing the team news on their official X (formerly Twitter) handle, almost at the same time United released theirs.

Softfootball gathered that Manchester United forward Bryan Mbeumo has returned to the Red Devils’ lineup after Cameroon were eliminated from AFCON 2025 following a 2–0 quarter-final defeat to Morocco.

Midfielder Bernardo Silva will captain the City side, while Semenyo, who penned a five-and-a-half-year deal with Manchester City on Friday, 9 January 2026, has been named in the starting eleven.
