Al Ahli produced one of the standout performances of the Saudi Pro League season as they defeated Al Nassr 3-2 at the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah. The result handed Al Nassr their first league defeat of the campaign and ended an unbeaten run they had carried from earlier dominance, including their flawless continental showing against Al Zawraa.

Ivan Toney was the central figure on the night, delivering a ruthless display that swung the contest decisively in Al Ahli’s favour. The league leaders arrived full of confidence and were aiming to extend their unbeaten streak against Al Ahli, as reported by SoftFootball.
However, that confidence was shaken early as Al Ahli struck with intent, feeding off home support and momentum from their recent AFC Champions League Elite success.

Toney opened the scoring in the seventh minute, reacting quickest to a low cross from Galeno to tap home from close range. He doubled the advantage just 13 minutes later, timing his run perfectly to beat the offside trap before calmly slotting past Nawaf Al Aqidi.
Al Nassr were rattled but found an unlikely route back into the contest through defender Abdulelah Al Amri. His first effort squirmed through goalkeeper Abdulrahman Al Sanbi’s grasp before he completed his brace with a powerful header from a Marcelo Brozovic corner just before the break.

The second half remained tense and finely balanced until the 55th minute. From a well-worked free kick, Toney showed his unselfish side by heading the ball back across goal for Merih Demiral, who nodded in the decisive winner from close range.
Al Nassr dominated possession and territory, but clear chances were limited, with Cristiano Ronaldo failing to register a shot on target.

The closing stages descended into chaos. Ali Majrashi was sent off in stoppage time after a confrontation with Joao Felix, and moments later Nawaf Boushal also saw red for a reckless challenge.
Despite the disorder, Al Ahli held firm to secure a famous victory that boosts their league ambitions, as shared on their official X handle, while Al Nassr now face renewed pressure at the summit.
