Virgil van Dijk has claimed that Liverpool didn’t create enough chances against Leeds United on Thursday night, Softfootball reports.

Arne Slot’s men played out a 0-0 draw with Leeds in the Match-Day 19 of the Premier League at Anfield. The result leaves Liverpool in fourth with 33 points after 19 matches so far this season.

In an interview shared via Liverpool’s official X handle, Virgil van Dijk spoke extensively on the match against Leeds United. He said:

I think we didn’t create enough chances to deserve a win. Obviously, Leeds defended well but I think we should have done better. I think we were not great in our last part of our game, and then obviously it’s key to make sure that we don’t concede and we did that well. But we want to do much better in the last part of our game – what we can do as well. It was one of those nights and we can’t dwell on it too long. Obviously the intentions are clear, we want to do it, but unfortunately it didn’t happen and now we have to focus on a trip to London – what will be very, very difficult as well.

Fans are enraged by the result of the Liverpool and Leeds United game and wonder if Arne Slot is the right man for the job despite leading the team to a premier league title last season.
