Paris Saint-Germain beat Flamengo and win the Sextuple! Ligue 1, Coupe de France, Trophée des Champions, UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, FIFA Intercontinental Cup.
It was one of those games that never truly settled. After 120 minutes of football, PSG needed penalties to finally get past the Brazilian champions, winning the shootout 2-1 following a 1-1 draw.

The final was played at the Ahmad bin Ali Stadium, and it had tension written all over it from early on. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia opened the scoring in the 38th minute, finishing off a fast break that involved Warren Zaïre-Emery and Désiré Doué.
Flamengo came back stronger in the second half. In the 62nd minute, VAR intervened after a handball was spotted in the box, and Jorginho calmly converted the resulting penalty. From there, the match slowed down a bit.
Both teams looked careful, maybe even nervous, knowing one mistake could decide everything. Chances came, but not enough quality at the end.

Extra time didn’t change much either, and penalties became unavoidable. PSG handled the moment better. Vitinha and Nuno Mendes scored for PSG, while Flamengo missed four efforts. Goalkeeper Matvey Safonov made crucial saves.
This win completes an incredible 2025 for PSG. Ligue 1, Coupe de France, Trophée des Champions, UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, defeating Tottenham 4-3 on penalties, and now the Intercontinental Cup. Six trophies, one calendar year. No French club has ever done this before.
It was also the first competitive meeting between PSG and Flamengo, which made it even more special. Recently setting a record for the highest Champions League goals in a single year, PSG ended the year sitting comfortably among football’s elite.
