Chelsea will be without the services of Brazilian winger, Willian Estevão due to injury and will miss the premier league fixture against Newcastle United, Softfootball reports.
The former Palmeiras winger was missing as Chelsea laboured to a 3-1 win over Charlton in the quarter-final of the Carabao Cup on Tuesday night. The Blues took the lead through Alejandro Garnacho after a goalless first first but the home side equalised through a powerful David Turnbull header.

Despite Chelsea’s poor display throughout the encounter, they found a way and took the lead through Pedro Neto’s low drive into the net before Garnacho grabbed his second for the night to make it 3-1.
According to football expert, Fabrizio Romano via his official X handle, Estevão missed the game due to injury. He posted:

Interestingly, Estevão’s goal won UCL Goal of the month. The Brazilian scored a brilliant solo goal against Barcelona in November as the Blues romped to a 3-0 victory during the Match-Day 5 of the UEFA Champions League.

The goals against Barcelona made him the third teenager to score in his first three Champions League starts, after Kylian Mbappé and Erling Haaland. He is also Chelsea’s youngest-ever goalscorer in the UEFA Champions League after his goal against Ajax in October 2025.
Chelsea will learn about their Carabao Cup semi-final opponents later today when the draws are made.
