Liverpool’s season is going downhill at the moment following some poor results and manager, Arne Slot has sent out a battle cry as he believes they can rescue their season if they fight together, Softfootball reports.

It went from bad to worse in midweek as Liverpool suffered a humiliating 4-1 defeat to PSV in front of their home fans, making it ninth loss in 12 games, their worst run in 71 years.

Football expert, Fabrizio Romano posted an interview on his official X handle where Slot expressed his disappointment about the recent results but wants the club to keep fighting. He said:

It’s not easy to say what I can do different. If you win, lose or draw you reflect on decisions you do in the week. We try to find the answer we need to win a game. In the end it’s about doing what this club is about – keep fighting, we have to fight together.

Before the Champions League humiliation, Liverpool also suffered a 3-0 defeat against Nottingham at Anfield which takes them further away from defending their premier league title. They have struggled to keep clean sheets and key players have failed to perform.

Mohammed Salah is struggling for form and not scoring at the moment, big money signings Alexander Isak and Florian Wirtz have failed to light up the premier league since their arrival at the club. Hugo Ekitike, who was scoring with freedom at the start of the season, has failed to find the back of the net in recent matches.

Liverpool are currently 12th in the Premier League and 13th in the 36-team league phase of the Champions League. The Reds will hope to return to winning ways when the travel to London to face West Ham United on Sunday.
