Arne Slot has again spoken about the quality inside Liverpool’s squad, saying he still believes the players have enough to turn things around, even though the results lately haven’t looked too good. as reported by Fabrizio Romano via his official X account.
He said:
Arne Slot on future: We know the quality of the players in our squad. And that should give us confidence. The improvement will come if we stick together and continue to work as hard as we possibly can.
Following their disappointing 3-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest, as reported by Softfootball, Slot keeps referring to the number of chances Liverpool creates as a key reason they shouldn’t lose confidence completely. He said the team just needs to stay together and work hard, which he feels is the only way to fix the current situation.

The pressure has definitely grown, especially after losing six of their last seven league games. Those early goals conceded keep throwing off their whole plan before they even settle in. Slot said he understands the frustration but insists belief inside the training ground has to stay strong, even when things look rough from the outside.
He wants quick solutions because Liverpool have dropped into the bottom half of the Premier League table. Their Champions League match against PSV Eindhoven today feels almost like a must-win situation. The outside pressure around him is rising.

Earlier in the season, Slot stated that he was satisfied with the squad and didn’t think major changes were needed. But with the recent slump, there are more questions about squad depth and how flexible the tactics really are. Even with big signings like Alexander Isak and Hugo Ekitike, Liverpool haven’t found a consistent attacking rhythm, and the system still feels like it’s searching for the right shape.
