Former World Heavyweight Boxing Champion, Anthony Joshua has urged Real Madrid star, Jude Bellingham to ignore the noise and focus on helping England at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Softfootball reports.
The former Borussia Dortmund midfielder played a part in England’s 2-0 win over Albania in their final World Cup qualifier but got criticised for his attitude when he was substituted in the second half.

Joshua took time out while promoting his upcoming fight against Youtuber, Jake Paul on December 19 to talk about the Jude Bellingham situation. Despite him not being a huge fan of football but he understands how the England player feels as his been in such position before.

During an interview with BBCSport shared via their official Tiktok handle. Joshua said:
It doesn’t matter what you say, that’s what we’ve got to focus on, he’s probably just tunnel vision which most people don’t understand what it takes to be in Jude Bellingham’s position. Jude Bellingham is under immense pressure every day of his life, it might just be one of those days, one of those years but let him do what he does on the pitch, that’s what we need to focus on.
Interestingly, they have been a number of former players that have come out in defence of Bellingham with Arsenal legend, Ian Wright saying that English people are not ready for a black superstar.
Bellingham has enjoyed a successful career since leaving England for Germany before his move to Spain where he teamed up with Real Madrid, winning LaLiga and the UEFA Champions League.
