Thomas Tuchel names 24-man England squad to face Wales and Latvia

England manager, Thomas Tuchel has named a 24-man squad ahead of the games against Wales and Latvia next week, Softfootball reports.

The Three Lions are in a strong position to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup which will be hosted by Mexico, Canada and the United States. England beat Serbia 5-0 away in their last match and will be hoping for the same outcome during this international break.

The English FA released the full list of players via their official media. It read:

Goalkeepers: Dean Henderson (Crystal Palace), Jordan Pickford (Everton), James Trafford (Manchester City)

Defenders: Dan Burn (Newcastle United), Marc Guéhi (Crystal Palace), Reece James (Chelsea), Ezri Konsa (Aston Villa), Myles Lewis-Skelly (Arsenal), Jarell Quansah (Bayer Leverkusen), Djed Spence (Tottenham Hotspur), John Stones (Manchester City)

Midfielders: Elliot Anderson (Nottingham Forest), Morgan Gibbs-White (Nottingham Forest), Jordan Henderson (Brentford), Ruben Loftus-Cheek (AC Milan), Declan Rice (Arsenal), Morgan Rogers (Aston Villa)

Forwards: Jarrod Bowen (West Ham United), Eberechi Eze (Arsenal), Anthony Gordon (Newcastle United), Harry Kane (Bayern Munich), Marcus Rashford (Barcelona, loan from Manchester United), Bukayo Saka (Arsenal), Ollie Watkins (Aston Villa).

England fans will be proud to see Bukayo Saka back as he missed the last international break due to injury. Also, Marcus Rashford who has been on good form for Barcelona this season retains the trust of manager Tuchel but there’s no place for the injured Chelsea midfielder, Cole Palmer.

England players are expected to report to St. George’s Park on Monday to begin their preparations for the matches. They will play Wales on October 9th before traveling to Riga to face Latvia in Group K of the World Cup qualifier.
