Besiktas are in the final stages of negotiations to sign Jota Silva from Nottingham Forest, with a loan deal including a buy option clause close to being agreed, Softfootball understands.
The Portuguese winger only joined Forest in 2024, registering 31 appearances in the Premier League. Now, the Turkish giants have moved swiftly to secure his services, with the structure of the deal allowing flexibility: the buy option could turn into an obligation depending on performance-related conditions.
Jota, who was a major part of the Nuno Espírito-led team last season, is likely not to be in the plans of the new manager, Ange Postecoglou, who has just joined Nottingham Forest this week for a two-year deal.

As Fabrizio Romano reported on his X handle this evening, Jota will head to Turkey for a new beginning after yo-yo performances in England.

Jota, 26, first made his name in Portugal with Vitória de Guimarães, where his direct dribbling and eye for goal earned him international recognition before making the switch to England. At Forest, however, competition for wide roles has been intense, with Anthony Elanga, Callum Hudson-Odoi, and Morgan Gibbs-White regularly occupying attacking positions.
If completed, Silva’s arrival will give Besiktas the added pace and creativity needed for the Turkish side, who lost their first game of the season last month.
