After a not-so-good time during the international break with Sweden, Softfootball can report that new Liverpool signing Alexander Isak has resumed at his new club with intense training sessions at the AXA centre.
The Swedish striker, who joined Liverpool from Newcastle United on transfer deadline day for a reported fee of £130m, was seen at his first training session just two days after featuring for his national team. Isak made his first appearance of the season on Monday in Sweden’s 2-0 international clash against Kosovo, where he gained 18 valuable minutes replacing Anthony Elanga in the second half before heading to Merseyside.

As shared on the Liverpool X handle this evening, the club shared a video of Isak’s training session at the AXA centre. Here is a short video of Isak’s training as revealed on X:

Meanwhile, Liverpool revealed on their website that Isak, 25, was put through his paces under the watchful eyes of Arne Slot and his backroom staff, Ruben Peters.

Isak arrives at Anfield with a reputation as one of the Premier League’s most clinical forwards, having netted 35 goals across two seasons with Newcastle. His ability to operate both as a central striker and in wider roles offers Slot added flexibility in attack, particularly following the summer addition of Hugo Ekitike, who has been exceptional so far this season.
