Bryan Mbeumo has expressed delight after he opened his goals account at Old Trafford to help Manchester United beat Burnley 3-2 in the Premier League match-day 3 played on Saturday.
Softfootball can report that the Cameroon international scored in the Carabao Cup defeat by League Two side, Grimsby but that came with pain in midweek as the Reds Devils got eliminated after a long penalty shout-out that ended 12-11 with Mbeumo missing the final spot kick after initially scoring his first.

It’s been a hard start to the season for Manchester United’s despite playing some good football, they lost at home to Arsenal and drew 1-1 against Fulham and the win against Burnley lifted the fans, players and Ruben Amorim, who has been under immense pressure recently.
Speaking to Manchester United’s official club media, Mbeumo was happy for the three points and collective efforts of the team. When he was asked how he felt about his goal, he replied:
“Yeah, I feel very good. I think today was really important that we could win, and yeah, obviously I’m really happy to score my first goal here.
“We kept going in the game and, at the end, we got the reward.
“I’m very happy, and we win as well – as a striker, it is important to be confident with goals.
“We are all a team, it is not only one person. We all worked very hard for the win today.”
Red Devils coach Ruben Amorim praised Mbeumo after the encounter.
He said:
“It was impressive the way he stretched the team. The quality that he has in the first touch, and you feel that we are a different team because when we win the ball, we have one guy stretching the team.”
The international break starts next week and when the Premier League resumes in two weeks, Manchester United face Manchester City and Chelsea in epic battles.
