Federico Chiesa has reportedly put an end to rumours around his future by making his intentions clear to Liverpool. The Italian winger, who has been linked with a possible exit from the club earlier in the summer, has told the club he wants to remain at Anfield and play an imprtant role this season.
The situation had raised eyebrows a few months ago when Chiesa was considering a departure. His concerns stemmed from limited opportunities, especially after Liverpool rejected bids for Luis Díaz and Chiesa was left out of the team’s pre-season tour of Asia.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has now provided the latest update via his X handle, confirming:
“Federico Chiesa and his agent have informed Liverpool about clear desire to stay at the club.
Chiesa considered to leave in June/July when #LFC rejected bids for Diaz and Federico was left out of Asian tour. Now Diaz left, more space and that goal to open new chapter.”
Softfootball earlier reported Luiz Díaz moving on to Bayern in a €75 million deal, Chiesa sees this as an opportunity to cement his place in Arne’s Slot plans and reignite his Liverpool career. For the Reds, keeping the 26-year-old forward could prove vital as they look to balance squad depth while maintaining quality in attack.
The stage might be set for Chiesa to take on more responsibility and finally open a new chapter at Anfield, one that both player and club will be hoping delivers success in the months ahead.
