Mason Mount has called on his teammates to ensure that they start the season well as the 25/26 Premier League season kick starts. United kick start their campaign against last season’s second placed team, Arsenal.
United finished 16th on the Premier League table last term and were unable to return to Europe where they reached the finals of the Europa League but lost to Tottenham Hotspurs 1-0.

Mount who was hindered by lots of injuries last term is feeling motivated ahead of the new campaign and has urged his teammates to start the season on a high. The former Chelsea man had inspired in preseason as he was involved lots of games for United especially in the Summer Premier League series which United won.
The Red Devils have also added more quality to the side with the additions of Bryan Mbeumo, Matheus Cunha and newly bought Benjamin Sesko.
Mount speaking to United official website via the club’s media was eager to get the season going on a high. He said:
I think for us it’s so important to start well, to start quick, to start with that intensity. We’re a team that definitely can push with that and win games with that intensity and the way we want to press, the way we want to move the ball and dominate the ball, and create chances.
That’s the way the manager wants to play, so it’s exciting for us to see what we’re doing in training and put that into the games.
I think to start with that game [against Arsenal] is going to be massive for us, to start on the front foot and really push forward.
Every game that we’ll be playing will have that kind of focus to be able to perform and really kick on, and put what was wrong right this season coming.
Every game is going to be a massive focus to keep that performance level really high and the details really high.
To start off with that game, it doesn’t get much better than that.
United will have to appease their fans with better performance this season as they not lower finished close to relegation last term but also missed a chance to win a trophy against Tottenham.
