Softfootball has gathered that Alexander Isak is once again pushing for a move to Liverpool, as the Newcastle striker makes it clearer again that Anfield remains his top choice this summer.
Despite reports linking him with interest from Al-Hilal, Chelsea, and Manchester United, Softfootball gathered that no talks have been held with any of those clubs. Instead, Isak is said to be focused solely on Liverpool, with his camp hopeful that the Reds will reignite their pursuit as the window enters its final month.

According to transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, shared on his X handle, Isak’s strong will to join the Red.
He wrote on his X handle as this:
“Alexander Isak wants Liverpool, it’s his priority as reported. No talks with Al Hilal, Chelsea or Manchester United.”
As earlier reported by Softfootball, Liverpool is still targeting Isak, but talks never progressed. Newcastle’s high valuation, believed to be above £90 million, has been a stumbling block for most suitors and remains a major factor in any potential deal. As gathered by Softfootball, Isak’s asking price has been pegged by Newcastle at £150M, which could probably be the English record fee.
Isak enjoyed a strong 2024/25 season with the Magpies, scoring 21 Premier League goals and helping Eddie Howe’s side to European qualification. His blend of pace, technique, and finishing has attracted attention from Europe’s elite, but the player himself is said to admire Liverpool’s project under Arne Slot and the prospect of leading the line in a revamped frontline.
Newcastle are not under pressure to sell, but there is growing acceptance that a massive offer could test their resolve. However, with Liverpool’s transfer activity relatively quiet in recent weeks, it remains to be seen whether the Merseyside club is willing to meet Newcastle’s asking price.
Chelsea and Manchester United are both in the market for a striker but are pursuing alternative targets, while Al-Hilal’s approach has not been entertained by the player’s entourage.
Man United are also believed to have lost interest in the Swedish striker, as his valuation is understood to be high.
