Napoli have held a direct meeting with Exequiel Zeballos’ agent as the club continue exploring a possible move for the Boca Juniors winger. The discussions focused on a potential January transfer if Napoli are unable to create space for him in their squad before the current window closes.

However, the club must first resolve their squad situation, with reports indicating that Napoli would prefer to bring him in January if a place cannot be made available immediately. Boca Juniors are reportedly demanding around €10 million for an immediate transfer.
Zeballos is attracting interest from elsewhere, with clubs from both Spain and Italy contacting his representatives. The Argentine winger is nevertheless prepared to wait for Napoli as negotiations continue, highlighting his desire to make the switch to Serie A and work under the new project in Naples.
The transfer situation comes as Napoli begin a new era under Massimiliano Allegri, who was officially unveiled as the club’s new head coach in July. Allegri has inherited a strong squad and stressed the importance of working closely with the club on recruitment.
