West Ham United have officially confirmed the signing of Joel Piroe from Leeds United on a season-long loan, with a conditional obligation to buy included in the agreement.

The clause will be triggered if West Ham secure promotion back to the Premier League, potentially turning the temporary move into a permanent transfer.

The deal could be worth around £12 million guaranteed to Leeds if Piroe joins West Ham permanently, with the total value also taking the loan fee into account.

Piroe now becomes another attacking option for West Ham as they aim to mount a strong promotion campaign.

The move comes after Softfootball confirmed earlier in August that Manor Solomon was set to leave Tottenham Hotspur for West Ham.

The two clubs reached an agreement worth £5 million fixed plus £2 million in add-ons, with the 27-year-old Israeli winger also agreeing personal terms with the Hammers.

Solomon was scheduled to undergo his medical after Tottenham gave approval for the transfer, with West Ham continuing to reshape their attacking options ahead of the new season.
