Super Eagles defender Chibuike Nwaiwu, who had been heavily linked with a move away from Trabzonspor, continues to feature for the Turkish side during their 2026/27 pre‑season preparations.
Softfootball had reported in mid‑July that Fulham reached personal terms with Nwaiwu on a €30m deal, but the Premier League club were unable to meet Trabzonspor’s valuation, causing the move to collapse.
Nwaiwu has since been seen in action for Trabzonspor, fully involved in their pre‑season programme as the club prepares for the new campaign.
There are still rumours of interest from other Premier League sides pushing for his signature, and negotiations remain ongoing, though no agreement has yet been reached.
