Softfootball understands that Mohamed Salah has officially signed for Trabzonspor on a two-year contract, bringing an end to one of the most successful chapters in Liverpool’s modern history.

The Egyptian superstar joins the Turkish club as a free agent after departing Anfield following nine remarkable seasons, with his new deal running until June 2028.

At 34, Salah has opted for a fresh challenge in the Turkish Süper Lig, where Trabzonspor finished third last season to secure qualification for the UEFA Europa League. The club views the signing as one of the biggest in its history and a major statement of ambition ahead of the new campaign.

The financial package is reportedly worth around €17 million per year, combining his salary, a signing bonus and a share of merchandise revenue generated through his arrival.

Salah leaves Liverpool as one of the greatest players ever to wear the famous red shirt. Trabzonspor believe Salah’s experience, leadership and elite attacking quality will significantly strengthen their squad as they aim to challenge for domestic honours and make a deep run in European competition.
