On, 29 July 2026, Super Eagles defender Chidozie Awaziem has left Nantes to join Turkish Super Lig side Konyaspor in a deal worth €1 million.
Softfootball understands Awaziem continues his football journey across Europe after spells in France, Portugal, Spain, USA, and Croatia. The move to Konyaspor marks the latest chapter in a career defined by versatility and adaptability.
The agreement is a two‑year contract, with an option to extend for an additional year, giving both the player and the club flexibility for the future.
Awaziem has now departed Nantes for the second time in his career. He first joined the club on 5 July 2017 on a season‑long loan from FC Porto, before returning on a permanent transfer on 23 July 2025 from the Colorado Rapids.
