Former Super Eagles midfielder Sunday Mba has advised Ademola Lookman to join Chelsea, believing the Premier League club is the ideal destination for the Atalanta winger.

Lookman was close to moving to Paris Saint-Germain last summer, but the deal collapsed, and he is now expected to leave Italy for a top European side this summer.

While Liverpool and Tottenham have been linked with the 27-year-old, Mba insists Stamford Bridge offers the best fit.

Softfootball notes that the 2013 AFCON winner sees a tactical alignment between Lookman’s skills and Enzo Maresca’s system. He told Africafoot:

If I was a sporting director or manager at Chelsea, I would push for Lookman. I think it would be a win-win situation for both parties, given the nature of the player.

Mba highlighted Lookman’s versatility as a key asset. He added:

Chelsea should be Lookman’s next home because the style of play suits what Enzo Maresca looks for in his strikers. He’s fast, technically gifted, can dribble, create chances and score a lot of goals. With all due respect, most Chelsea strikers struggle to bring out two of those qualities.

For Mba, Lookman’s ability to combine speed, creativity, and finishing makes him a perfect solution for Chelsea’s attacking needs.
