Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Matheus Cunha has been handed a two-match suspension following an incident during his side’s Premier League clash against Ipswich Town earlier this season, Softfootball reports.
The Brazilian has been one of Wolves’ standout performers despite the club’s difficult campaign, scoring 10 Premier League goals, with six of those strikes coming in the last two months.
Cunha’s impressive form has attracted interest from Arsenal and Liverpool ahead of the January transfer window, with both clubs reportedly monitoring his situation.
Arsenal are believed to be in the market for attacking reinforcements as manager Mikel Arteta continues to search for consistency in the final third. Injuries, including Bukayo Saka’s absence, have further increased the need for additional firepower as the Gunners continue their pursuit of the Premier League title.
