Real Madrid forward Vinicius Jr will miss Wednesday’s Champions League trip to Liverpool after picking up a leg muscle injury during the club’s 3-0 La Liga win over Leganes at the weekend.
Softfootball gathered that the Brazilian is expected to be sidelined for three to four weeks, a lengthy spell that could see him miss as many as seven matches across all competitions before the winter break, including league clashes with Girona and Athletic Bilbao.

Real Madrid confirmed the extent of the injury in an official statement, explaining:
Following tests carried out today on our player Vini Jr by the Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with an injury to the biceps femoris in his left leg. Pending evolution.
Vinicius joins an already lengthy injury list at the club, which includes key names like Rodrygo, Eder Militao, Dani Carvajal and Aurelien Tchouameni.
Madrid sit second in La Liga, four points behind leaders Barcelona, and face a daunting task at Anfield having lost two of their last three Champions League outings.
