Softfootball can confirm Barcelona have reached a full agreement with Borussia Dortmund to sign Karim Adeyemi, ending one of the summer’s most closely followed transfer pursuits.
The two clubs have agreed on a package worth €22 million plus €7 million in performance-related add-ons, with the bonuses linked to appearances and major trophy success. The Germany international is now set to sign a five-year contract with the Blaugrana.
The deal represents a significant breakthrough for Barcelona, who had remained confident of landing Adeyemi throughout the transfer window but were initially unwilling to meet Dortmund’s €40 million asking price.
After negotiations, the Bundesliga club agreed to lower their demands, allowing Barcelona to secure the winger for a substantially reduced guaranteed fee while including achievable bonuses in the agreement.

Adeyemi also played a decisive role in the transfer. Reports indicate the 24-year-old made it clear that Barcelona was his only preferred destination, rejecting the possibility of joining other interested clubs as he waited for the Catalan giants to finalise an agreement with Dortmund.
With the transfer now agreed club-to-club and personal terms already settled, Adeyemi is expected to complete the formalities before being officially unveiled as Barcelona’s latest signing.
